Red Beach
A huge attraction of the island and arguably the most famous beach lies on the southernmost part of Santorini. It is located in Akrotiri village, 12 kilometers south west of Fira, close to the important archaeological site of Akrotiri where it is advisable that you stop first and admire the excavation. There is a parking space to leave your car or, alternatively, you can take the bus from Fira. To reach the beach you have to walk a couple of minutes on a downhill path or you can access it by boat from Akrotiri port, Kamari or Perissa. A great number of visitors come to Red Beach just to stare and photograph it.

Lost Atlantis Museum
The first museum in the world dedicated to the myth of Lost Atlantis. Situated in the original location of the myth, Santorini!

Local Winery
You will visit one of the most famous local winery where you will sample 3 different types of local wines and enjoy complementary snacks.

Prophet Elias Monastery
This is the highest spot (565m. above sea level) on the island offering panoramic views across the island and the Aegean Sea. Santorini owns a great many churches of unparalleled beauty scattered all over its length, from tiny charming chapels to massive monasteries. One of them is the glorious monastery of Profitis Ilias (Prophet Elias), one of the oldest of the island. It is situated on the summit of Mount Profitis Ilias that lies on the southeast edge of Santorini, 3 kilometers away from Pyrgos village, the highest settlement of the island.

Nea Kameni Island
The volcano of Santorini, an island that sprung from the sea after a volcanic eruption in 1570 AD. A hike to its crater with steam rising from the surface is a unique experience. The island of Nea Kameni, also known as the Santorini volcano, is a volcanic island at the centre of the impressive Santorini caldera. Nea Kameni was formed around 1570 after a series of volcanic eruptions.

Palea Kameni Island
he oldest of the volcanic isles of the Santorini caldera, Palia Kameni is home to the famous Hot-Springs, known for the beneficial for the skin properties of the mud-baths.

Thirassia Island
Traditional and unspoiled, Thirassia is immersed in a natural setting with crystalline waters, amazing views and intriguing hiking paths. A perfect stop for a peaceful break and traditional food in the local taverns. With a population of about 270 people, Thirasia lies very close to Santorini, in fact, both formed the same island until the huge volcanic eruption which is estimated to have taken place in 1628 BCE, when it detached Thirasia from main island of Santorini. There are five villages on the island, the largest one, which has a population of 150, sharing the same name with the island itself. Thirassia is what Santorini used to be many years ago. There is nothing there beside peace and quiet. It is mostly visited by day trippers from Santorini, but if you go there for a few days you will be quickly part of the family. Be aware that hardly anyone on Thirassia speaks anything else than Greek.
